DINNER WITH DINING PLAYBOOK

dinner-with-dining-playbook

Last week, I had the pleasure of joining Emmy Award-winning Billy Costa and Jenny Johnson of New England Sports Network’s Dining Playbook, for dinner at Craft Table & Bar in East Boston. Dining Playbook is a weekly show that highlights the best restaurants in and around Boston, focusing on where to go, what to eat, what to drink and where Boston’s celebrity athletes hang out. So it came as no surprise that the restaurant of choice for the night’s festivities seriously stepped up to the plate.

With patio season in full effect, we spent our night at Craft Table & Bar al fresco, snacking on an assortment of small bites like Deconstructed Wontons and Bangbang Cauliflower, sipping on summer cocktails like their Maid in Mexico and Sibling Rivalry, dining on dinner entrees like Stella’s Chicken Parmesan and Short Rib Pappardelle, and diving into the dessert selection of White Chocolate Cheesecake and 5-Layer Chocolate Cake.

If you’ve ever spent time in East Boston, or anywhere in Boston, really, then you know that parking a seriously hot commodity. (NOTE TO MY NON-NEW ENGLAND READERS: Not joking. Parking is impossible. It’s not even worth trying to drive anywhere most of the time!) Luckily, Craft Table & Bar’s got you covered. In addition to a back patio perfect for private shindigs or date-night drinks, there’s also free on-site parking. You heard that right. FREE PARKING. I’ll pause here to give you a second to recover.

From the food to the service, to say that dinner was a home-run would be an understatement. They absolutely knocked it out of the park. I can’t recommend a stop into Craft Table & Bar enough. And until my next visit, I’ll just be over here dreaming of the Bangbang Cauliflower.

Eat, drink, and be merry. Wear you are now.

xx
